Suppository within hospital... I'm so worried...?
I will have an operation and as I won't be able to swallow anything, they will dispense me suppositories. I'm really scared, because I never had one up to in a minute. Does it hurt a lot? How do they put it in? What if I hold my cheeks together so tight that they won't know how to get it in? Please relief, I'm really nervous...
Answer: To be honest, having suppositorys while you're contained by hospital are the last thing you will hold to worry about. Depending on what sort of operation you are have you might as well just start out your dignity at the door!!
I had one as a form of pain nouns before having my op and although i be a tad surprised at them wanting to put anything up there, the nurse just put her gloves on, lubed her fingers up a bit and up it go! It didn't hurt a bit. So no need to worry!
Its the fastest approach of getting any form of drugs into your blood stream apparently, quicker than any oral form of painkillers or whatever.
yuck I feel for you, suppositories they are so horrible they put them up your anal hole and they walk up quite far and it does not hurt but they do make you run to the toilet and once it starts to work your never stale the toilet.
They just lubrication up around your anal hole and then they will insert the suppository. freshly relax when they do it and you will be fine it does not hurt but it can be uncomfortable once it starts to work.

It won't hurt you!You will be told to lounge on your side with your knees bent and the nurse will lubricate the suppository and pop it in formerly you realise!
Why would you wish to"hold your cheeks together" so they can't get it contained by?
Medicine given this way works much quicker and with no side effects.
Some twinge killers given by mouth can give you calamitous diarrhoea,but given in this way they are OK.

in that is nothing to worry around, they will, ask you to lie on your left side, bring your knees up. they should coat it within somthing like KY jelly a lubricant. Tell them you are nervous. You dont vote what operation you are having and what the suppositories are for. it really shouldnt hurt, just more self-conscious . Just try and relax

Don't worry it's the norm in Greece when you turn into hospital to have a baby. It's really nought - not half as big as a poo that comes out! relax .. think going on for all those people that be in motion and have their bowels cleaned out - now that must discern might strange!it only hurts if you don't relax, if you just relax, it is no more self-conscious going in than your stool does coming out. Yes, your rectum is where a suppository is inserted.

A friend of mine have to have these recently, she be very nervous and pleasantly surprised to find out it didn't hurt at adjectives.It doesn't hurt at all. As as child when I had my tonsils out that be the only way they administered my antibiotics. It feel funny but not in the least bit hurting.

Its no big deal. If you just lay on your side, you can't largely even feel it.this isn't that bad at adjectives..it will go in uncomplicated..dont fight it!! good luck to you!!
