Swollen Red finger?
I burned my finger last Wed, (just a small burn) today I woke up and my whole finger is really swollen and red and hurts...back I goto the doc and wait forever is there anything I can do at home? any philosophy to what has happened?
Answer: It might hold become infected. Burns are the worst possible injuries for infection. You will need antibiotics that's for sure but in the meantime, apply a cold compress to the finger (not ice), pinch some Ibuprofen which should help with the swelling and the strain and you can an antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin but if the infection is subcutaneous it may not have much effect. However, the compress and Ibuprofen should attain you through until you can get into the doctor. By the way, if you start getting a hallucination, don't mess around, have them get you surrounded by asap.
