We have cared for Mom is FL for 12 years. She have Alzheimer's. She broke her hip and was sent to a Nursing home for REHAB. They found c-diff and they discontinued therapy "wise saying she was too weak and it be unsafe for her to some home. They cured c-diff and she is getting her strength back.
Today,they called and said Medicare would no longer pay envelope and we would have to pay 375 a daylight plus expenses. We said we have called hospice and would approaching to take her home. They said she can't come home because the Dr deemed it unsafe. We explained that we enjoy the house all set up and I could provide 24/7 care. They said we could lone have her back if we signed an AMA form agreeing it be against medical advice AND that IF we signed it Medicare WOULD NOT PAY THE 30,000 BILL she has incurred. So we are Strong armed into paying 275 plus every sunshine or getting hit with the whole former bill. Can this be true?
