Trapped impertinence agony! how long will it dance on for? have anyone have one? any warning? :(

Im 20.. and ive got a trapped nerve within my lower back its making my right leg really painful... ive have it for 8 weeks now and seeing the physio every week..

Im taking loads and loads of pain killer and muscle relaxants every day.. im thinking it cant be good for my stomach.. taking adjectives these pills!!

The doctor told me it would go away within a week or two at first... the exercises the physio is giving me arnt doing anything.. the most important advice is keep live... cos if i sit for too long the pain gets worse...

I find it exceedingly hard to go to sleep... i take 3 to 4 hours every night cos im in so much discomfort lying down...

I cant work alot and my social life is ruined cos im in stomach-ache all the time... im a student so ill be going stern to uni in september but i dont know how ill cope near the work when its this painful... its really getting me down cos theres nothing i can do..

im going to see the doctor again tomorrow... i may ask for some sleeping pills but im on the strongest distress killer i think... i a short time ago dont know what to do... do you think an operation would be best? or is it too soon?

any answers are appreciated... thanks

Answer:    I have a trapped nerve in my hindmost not long ago (few weeks ago) and was in so much torment I didn't think it was possible to be within so much pain!

Mine only last between 1 and 2 weeks though and i've been fine since so this just shows that although you're within agony now they can go and it will progress.

During my pain all I could suggest about was 'what if it doesn't turn? or recover fully' It definitely will! It take time but you will return back to normal.

Its only taking along time coming..Good luck, honestly, my sympathy is with you!!.
talk to your doctor give or take a few an operation if it is that bad. he will tell you if you inevitability it. also, wherever the nerve is, try using a roast pack to relax the muscles, if muscles are what's pinching it. good luck :) Hi, instead of local physio go to a sports injury clinic, you own to pay but they may get to the problem quicker, .
My gran have this atm and its sciatica ??

Sorry i dont have a answer to your question but hers comes and go every few month.
