Umm my eyesight is really crap, about -4 in my gone eye and -3 in my right. What do negatives suggest when it come to eyesight? isnt it usually 20/40 or 20/80 or the like?

The -3 and -4 are measurements called "Diopters" which deeply tell the optometrist how strong the lenses in your specs or contacts need to be to correct your vision to usual, which is 20/20 or better.
The higher the number, the stronger the lens (and the worse your eye is at focusing).
Positive numbers are for correcting farsighted eyes, and negative numbers (like what you have) are for nearsighted eyes.
