Was my osteopath right to discharged me from his treatment?

I have a slipped disc and a sciatica for 2 months now. NHS referred me to an osteopath but today he told me if I don't agree to own an operation he will discharge me, so he did so. I did not want to have an injection nor operation. He said if his treatments have not develop my condition by now I need an operation. But today I go privately to a physio and she said I don't need an operation just a honourable physio who can take care of me. Who should I trust more? To be honest I wasn't thrilled with the treatment I had from the osteopath as he never did any rub on me, I saw him once every 2 weeks (5 or 6 times altogether). Any advise? I will have a MRI scan subsequent week by the way.

Answer:    the NHS usually only submit a short course of treatment. if things don't get any better then the usually refer you. if you really don't want to own the operation then i would go next to the physio, but i guess if after that it still isn't better then you would be back to need the operation..its up to you who you trust really.

best of luck x.
If the osteopath didnt do massage on you the 5/6 times you went, what did he do?
I dont realize, he is a specialist in massage and manipulation, so why would he want you to hold an op without an MRI scan.?
