What amount burn is this?

I heated up some water in the microwave for 1 minute 20 second on 100% power and when I took out the water, it spilled on my thumb. Then I stuck it in wet with ice for going on for 15- 20 minutes until I read that that made it worse.
Also, how do I treat it?
Also, how long 'til the pain is gone?

Answer:    No matter what... do not ever put iced wet or ice cubes on a burn... you'll cause more nerve/tissue plunder. Just use cool water. For the type you described, which even without descriptors sounds resembling a first degree, run it under cool hose down for a few minutes and then apply burn cream (not mayo, not butter, just regular burn cream). Let it nouns dry and wrap later if you need it..
Your burn is first or second scope based on whether or not is blisters. Take some Acetaminophen for the pain, apply an antibiotic close to Neosporin if you are worried about infection. You can use a dressing (but make sure it is a generous that won't stick). It should be better in a week or two depending on how bad it is.

First-degree burns - glow , a white plaque and minor pain

Second degree burn - blistering

Third-degree burns - charring of the skin

Fourth-degree burns- wreck muscle tissue. Grafting is required if the burn does not prove to be fatal.

Fifth-degree burns- blackened muscle. Fat, nerves, veins, and arteries enjoy been destroyed and the burn area is paralysed as a result. Amputation is required if the burn does not prove to be vicious.

Sixth-degree burns -blackened bone and damage marrow tissue. These types of burns are always vicious.
.
And for the love of god don't heat up water within the microwave.
