NO more tonsillitis... but tonsils are germ fighters you may i repeat may...get chest infections instead. After surgery you can haemorrhage but this is also uncommon.. you will hold a sore throat for a few days... good luck.. talk to your doctor to draw from anymore information.Extremely throbbing surrounded by the boss.?
When a child is young and has this tonsillectomy operation done.They soon receive over it .When you get older it take about one week before your throat feel normal..
It feels a bit similar to having a sore throat.
Try and drinks lots of warm drinks tea coffee or cool drinks close to milk shakes. Eat soups, yogurt,ice creams, all the soft things that wont hurt you when you swallow, lately for a few days until you feel better..
I had this done plentiful years ago in my twenties and its the best thing I ever have done. I get over colds much easier..

Apart from the hemorrhage, you can get surgical emphysema, which I had when I have my tonsils out, my face swelled up a bit and it felt close to bubble wrap! hehe... but anyway I'm like an extremely rare skin. It did't hurt or anything so.It's way better to have them out than to suffer for years trust me!
