Neurologist could refer him to a Sleep Pathologist to have a Sleep Study done, to see if he wishes a CPAP or something like that. If you don't have insurance, the sleep study is fairly expensive. A normal doctor should be able to refer him to the right place though, he shouldn't hold to go to a neurologist for it.Go to your primary care doctor and he may know how to help you or if he can't ask him to refer you to either a ear,nose-and throat doctor or a pulmonologist because snoring is not something you want to mess near.It may be something as simple a needing your sinuses drained and then again it might be something else.I have that problem from gaining weight after I quit smoking and adjectives I nded was my sinuses drained. My brother on the other hand have to use a C-Pap to sleep at night because his throat coses up at night.Good luck next to whatever you do I hope it gts better.Sharon W.
