it is my ring finger and pinky knuckles..
Answer: You have a boxer's fracture. And it's almost other the ring and little fingers (4th and 5th digits) because those metacarpal or knuckle bones are not as firmly stabilized as the index and middle fingers.
Now to your question. A cast on the paw will prevent further pain and damage. It will also aid to maintain the bones in a usual or near normal procession. Otherwise, you might end up with a mitt that will not function optimally. And if the bones are very angulated, the orthopedic surgeon might even have to place metal pins contained by them to straighten them. So I would definitely go to the ER and take it X-Rayed and treated.
apply ice pack then immobilise by strapping up, elevate when sitting and bring painkillers (paracetamol and antiinflammatories).
Then find a book on anger management and read up on alternative ways to handle things.
