What can i use on a mouth swelling that i might hold lying around the house?
I have this ulcer but dont own anything to put on it - is there anything that i can like concoct haha from things that might be lying around the house? pleease comfort me its so sore =[ lol
Answer: You can either swab some hydrogen peroxide on it (don't swallow any) or if you have maalox and gooey benedryl, mix some together (1:1 ratio) and swish like you would a mouth wash..
A touch of petroleum jelly or some other nontoxic lubricant might facilitate protect it from rubbing against your teeth, tongue, etc. My doctor used to recommend a cotton swab dipped in glycerin, and I've had polite luck with the painful home remedy of putting brackish on it and scrubbing it out with a toothbrush (but oh the affliction!!).

if you have milk of magnesia you can swish it around within your mouth and swallow a small amount. it helps relieve the pain and shorten the duration. My Mom used to put a big pinch of baking soda on my cold sores as a kid. It help the pain a lot and they would dance away within a week or so..
we used to mix 1-1 baking soda and salt and take home a paste with a drop of marine and put it on. Otherwise Listerine should work fine. Do you have hydrogen peroxide ? Put it on a swab and swab the sore. You want to dry it up..
Swish warm brackish water around your mouth. Listerine works good as okay..
Got any maalox? That works well. Apply it with a q-tip. Gargle brackish water - it numbs it a bit
