For the past 5 weeks now, I receive a very bad cough when I lay down for bed. I did the unashamed at first, and took cough medicine before bed, beside enough time in between for it to lift effect. About 2 1/2 weeks in, my ears plugged and I finally went to the doctor for it. She give me nasal spray to help release the fluids in my ears, and also wrote me a characters for Robitussin with Codeine. It just so happen that my insurance didn't cover the cough medicine, and I couldn't afford it, so I've been taking Nyquil past bed each night. The cough also get bad when I first get up surrounded by the morning and if I get too active through the sunshine.
When I saw my doctor, she said that she didn't think I had an upper respiratory infection.
Is nearby anything more that I can do at night to keep from coughing so much? I'm losing like mad of sleep, and I don't know what to do.
Any help is much appreciated..
Footnote: (because I know someone will tell me to be in motion to the doctor). As I said, I've already done this, and she pretty much tells me it's nothing..
