What does this have it in mind? xray press?
I had 2 radiologists look at an xray on my back i have because i may either have a stress fracture or a torn muscle and they both said the xray did not help out at all because there be a small shadow of some sort and now i have to receive an MRI
what does this mean? does it mean if i hold a crack its very very small? or what?
Answer:
HELP.im soo tired and i own a play!?
an xray is pretty much a picture of your insides, but beside everything layered on top of each other. so surrounded by order to take an dummy of a particular area, everything that the xray joist touches on the way to the xray negative ends up contained by the image (like muscle, fat, fluid, or internal organs contained by addition to bone). a persons belly or thorax are thick, so the xray beam have alot of things to go thru to make a picture of your rear bones (vertebrae). also, if you do have an injury, there could be some swelling which would incentive the xray to be a little blurry in that nouns. mri's are very good at showing detail within soft structures such as muscle. so don't freak out, its going to be ok, the radiologists just want to make sure they receive a good image of your pay for injury so that the they will know how to fix it. one more thing, mri's don't show bone detail, so if they can't see something on mri, they may recommend something else, similar to a ct scan (which is like an xray, but the image is taken contained by pieces so that there isn't as much layering). but like i said, they are trying to receive the best image of your injury so they will know to fix it. i know when a doc says something approaching mri or cat scan, it sounds really scary b/c xray is the imaging technique most people are familiarized with. but mri and ct imaging are becoming more routine, and they offer much more detail on some things than an xray. i hope this help, and i hope you feel better soon!It means that you own a good and thorough physician.
They couldn't find an answer for your injury with only just an X Ray.
But the MRI will tell them what they need to know.
Good luck, and bring well soon!
