I was prescribed Lortab, and then Vicodin, for like condition. I never really thought much about either, except that they are narcotic throbbing killers, after reading the incert that comes with the inscription, I found they are both hydrocodone with acetemetaphine. So, What is the difference? If they both have 10mg hydrocodone and 500 mg acet, does it concern which one I take?

Also - I was also prescribed Darvocet for a lower problem of the original one. (Not at the same time) and I'm curious as to the difference. Is it largely considered "stronger" or "weaker" or . . . is it just the doctors preference to choose which to prescribe? I know it does not hold the same ingredients, but I'm wondering the difference.

Lortab always have 500 mg of tylenol in it. 5/500, 7.5/500 and 10/500. Vicodin comes in three forms, 5/500, 7.5/750 and 10/650. The merely difference between vicodin and lortab is the amount of tylenol. Darvocet is a much milder narcotic pain reliever.

Confused something like nutritional supplements?

I know it seems similar to they are the same thing and they pretty much are but I consider the reason that they both exist is because different people own different reactions to them. For me, I can only hold lortab, vicodin makes me nauseous. I'm sure in that are other people who it's the other way around. If you get the impression fine with both of them then it probably doesn't event which one you take.

Oh yeah another reason why nearby are so many different kinds of anguish pills is because if you keep taking the same one for too long you can become addicted to it so they own different ones so they can switch it up.

Lortab doesn't always have 500 mg Tylenol! They also own 325,650 . Were I used to work,we were a compound pharmacy,we mostly did special prescriptions.We could compound what ever the prescription said.For example,someone with stomach cancer,couldn't rob a lot of Tylenol,we could make a lortab near just 50 mg of Tylenol.
Getting back to the inspired question. Vicodin is just a nickname.The active ingred. is hydrocodone. Theres also vicophrophine.which is hydrocodone with ib proph. instead of Tylenol. Darvocet have proxy. in it. which by the way is weaker than lortab.
