What is the pulse surrounded by my throat?
I'm a female - 25 years old and I've woken up this morning and for something like the last ten mins I've has a really horrible pulse contained by my throat. I can feel it when I place my 2 fingers on the neck basically at my throat next to the adams apple, slightly to the right of it. It keeps going really hurried then slowing down, going away then coming vertebrae? Any ideas of what it could be?
Thanks
Answer: The pulse you feel is from the Carotid Artery, the primary artery in the body. The reason it slows is because, short realising it, you hold your breath when counting it.
.
It is exactly what you said, a pulse! lol your funny. When you are running or stressed it beats harder to pump the blood through your body to deliver oxygen, but you say "it beat hard then it stops" if it really is stopping next you are having serious problems lol.. if you count how many times it beat it should be between 60-90 beats per minute and that means your surefire and normal.. lol did you just discover you enjoy a heart beat in your nouns? did you not go to PE class or something lol Go to your doctor ASAP. This could be an aneurysm..
Normal, unless it stops !
