What is wrong beside my knees?

I've had been running 3 miles 2-3x a week for six months and have been feeling great. Then just now I started adding some biking to the routine going about 12-20 miles respectively time. Shortly afterwards I developed a pain in my knees. I stayed off of it for a week and it went away but after exercising again the niggle returned and now has not gone away after 2 weeks in need strenuous activity.

I've been taking ibuprofen which complete nullifies the stomach-ache, but of course, it returns once the drug wears sour. Without the ibuprofen, it seems I haven't healed at adjectives in two weeks.

The pain is moderate and is coming from around the inner margin of my knee cap on the inner side of my leg and seem to show up mainly when getting up from a seated position after a few minutes or more. Otherwise I can stand, walk, and use it minus any problems.

What is wrong with my knee?


Answers:    You probably pulled a muscle.. run about 1 week off. or a moment ago work quarter-half as much as you did, untill you feel better, iceing it will help it progress faster too...
There are several minor injuries which could cause this type of pain within your knee.. The knee is a complex collective, with many parts. If resting, icing, and elevating enjoy not healed the problem, you need to see a physician, and enjoy an xray or mri. You do not want to delay a problem that could be worsened by continuing the issue that may have cause it to begin with. you may enjoy strained your mcl? or bruised a bone. It is possible that you are getting some fibrosis from training. That would be my guess since it hasn't gone away after rest. Or it could be the cartilage in your knee. Road running hurt mine a couple of years ago. .
I am an MRI Tech and see this almost day after day....My guess would be you have a torn medial meniscus (cartilage on inside of your knee joint)
A common physician will xray you which will probably not show anything. Then you will have an MRI of the knee. If you own torn the cartilage, it probably will show then....Rick Sounds like you did something to the cartilage. Every time you do something and it hurts, you could be tear it more and more. This happened to me twice about 10 years ago and I have surgery twice..
You might have some damage surrounded by the ligaments in your knee. I'm no doctor, but I do know knees injuries are very serious and you should at least address to a doctor to see what he or she thinks. Sounds like you may own a torn meniscus. I had similar pain on the inside of my knees and that is what I had. You should enjoy a doctor take a look at it. .
Go to the doctor. You might have sprained it or pulled a muscle within your knee. Keep taking the ibuprofen until then. Hope you grain better! XD if you havent fully rown then you could be disrupting the growth with too much exercise .

I once had a pretty bad meniscus split from football a few years ago and it sounds like you might have a slight one. The solely real way to fix it is to own cartilage removed surgically. I would definitely recommend seeing a doctor before continuing to exercise as it can crack it worse. Make sure you get an opinion from an actual doctor and not a nurse practitioner as they are much more educated. A nurse practitioner misdiagnosed my injury therefore i continued to play until finally it just give out completely and was later diagnosed by the doctor after some test.
