What problems can at hand be from have a Surgical Drill bit vanished inbuilt surrounded by my bone
I recently fractured my ankle in 3 places and have to have surgery to have screw and plates put in, during the operation the surgeon left a broken drill bit entrenched in the bone.
Answer: Hi There
From a nursing perspective, as long as the drill bit is not left protruding from the bone you aren't possible to have any problems. It is essentially just a really expensive screw. Had they removed the drill bit they would enjoy just had to put a screw contained by, in its place.
However in aphorism that some people do notice some long occupancy discomfort from surgical hardware particularly during extremes of temperature. If you own any significant discomfort sometimes the hardware can be removed at a later date after all the bones own fully healed..
No problems, its a surgical drill bit, if its drilled into the bone and its stuck in at hand you dont have to worry, nil will happen, its like bang a nail into a piece of wood, it will just stay near forever,
