What should i do if i twisted my ankle and try n ot to mencchion the emergency room!!?
today i trpped over 2 ripstiks( a two wheeled skateboard) i think i twisted my ankle what should i do
Answer: R.I.C.E. R= Rest, I = Ice it (your Mom get anything that needs to be defrosted?) C= compression, strap that ankle! E= elevate, put it on a footstool or something soft. If it get worse after this go see your Doctor ASAP

Simple: Ice it for 15 minutes and the heat it for 15 minutes.For rime: use just an ice pack, peas, or freeze river in a styrofoam cup and cut out the bottom to make a nice rime rub.
For Heat: Use a heating pad or a rice rucksack.
Elevate during sleep, but walk on it. Don't baby the ankle by using crutches. Walking on it will strength it even if it manner limping on it for a few days...the end results will be better.

Get into comfortable clothes, cause you are not going anywhere for awhile. Ice pack, or cold packs, and elevate the foot on pillows to reduce swelling. Try benignly flexing the foot and rotating it in circles, gently...to label sure you have not broken it. Cool and elevate.What are some muscular system injuries?
Ice for the first 24 hours and then warmth. Keep it still and wrap with an ACE bandage not tight. Keep it elevated. If contained by 24 hrs it is still swollen, black and blue then sorry ...you should go to the ER. Otherwise it is sprained and only needs some TLC. Take advil or aleve if you can. Put ice on it and elevate the leg.All ankle sprains are different. Use RICE... rest, ice, compression and elevation. Your ankle will imagined discolor as the blood pools to the lowest segment. Compression wraps and ace bandages can hold down the swelling. NSAIDS can help near the pain. After a couple of days you can put some weight on it. Do the alphabet beside your foot to move it thru the range of motion. If you don't improve consistently, consequently see your doctor. you need crutches, a bandage, rime and rest.
As for skateboarding, your going to need to take an outter for a few days, you obligation to rest it otherwise you can cause serious damage. Sorry, but you inevitability to take a chill week. On thhe flipside, get resourcefully soon.

ps. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE ER OVER A SIMPLE SPRAINED ANKLE! just go to the doctor if it stilll hurts contained by a few days.
pps. dont listen to anyone who tells you to heat a sprain or any other swollen ligament. it will of late increase the swelling untill it is the size of a basket ball, and you will loose circulation and rationale perminant damage to the ankle.
