What should i do near my wound?
i had my big toenail taken off a week ago and had my wrapping changed last thur- since then its been loving of weeping so my bandage was all soggy. I thought it best to remove it as it be damp and i didn't think it would be healthy for a curative wound. (i was not due a bandage change for another 2 weeks!) in a minute i don't know whether to clean it, antiseptic, let it get nouns it or just recover it. what would you do?
Answers: Reading your other Q&A's I see you are UK based .
Phone your surgery and grasp an appointment to get the practice nurse to dress it properly for you so as to avoid infection.
Cover it over with a clean bandanna or something and get a taxi if you have no other method of transport.
Maybe lets some air to it and see how it goes. Also a bit of antiseptic wouldnt do any spoil, when happy re-dress and keep clean.
However if you are developing an infection you should try and lock in it early. Some symptoms of infection are ; Swelling, soreness/itching, discharge (particularly if colourful, smelly and also raised temperature any locally or you in general.
If you think you hold an infection get to the doctors.
Can one contained by your period affect..
If you can clean it and leave it uncovered probably it will dry up. Something similar happened to my daughter and she needed antibiotics to clear up quite a nasty infection. I hope yours get better soon.Should I walk to academy sick?
