funny, not really, I am having the same problem. surrounded by the past I have have luck with Chiropractors, physical therapist and neurologists. I also use a patch (prescription, not narcotic) call lidoderm patch . It has the same pills in it as the dentist uses to numb your mouth I believe. You leave it on twelve sour twelve hours. Right now I am also lying on my side with a pillow between my legs. Good Luck.

Start next to your family MD. They can get Xrays etc..Sciatic backache comes from lower verterbal disc problems that bulge and pinch the nerves in your spinal cord. Another thing your relations MD can recommend is some physcial therapy this is just a small component of long occupancy therapy.See your family practice doctor . If he or she deem it neccessary , they will refer you to an orthopaedist.
Try a chiropractor first.
