Answers: As paramedicgirl said it will still make you vomit. In addition to the potential problems she programmed there's one more- Ipecac is cardiotoxic, meaning it is a poison to the heart. People have died directly from ingesting Ipecac.

It'll still make you vomit. When you vomit, you lose electrolytes, which you want to keep your heart beating generally. You also damage the lining of your esophagus because of the bitterness of your stomach acid. Another great bonus to vomiting is rotting the enamel off of your teeth (again, the stomach acid). You should never, ever MAKE yourself throw up! In certainty, they pulled ipecac off the shelves becasue it was anyone abused too much by people trying to lose weight. It's not reccommended for poisoning anymore any, due to all the damage vomiting cause, along with the risk of aspiration (inhaling your vomit).
