I would have to agree with Barby on this one.surrounded by those with HCV infection this happens adjectives too often. It is associated with fibromyalgia as in good health as being a neuropathic issue.Many of us who have HCV hold had this sensation.
I would ask your doctor, but before doing so, I would research it a bit and print out some information concerning the issue.
Some doctors still don't believe all of our symptoms are due to HCV infection, when in actuality there are over 150 extrahepatic issues that can be attributed to having Hep C.
This symptom may be due to Cryoglobulinemia (a disorder within which protein clumps form in the blood). This can cause skin unthinking and ulcers, kidney problems, arthritis, and sensations (such as tingling or pain) in the hand and feet but may cause tingling surrounded by other parts of the body. The back, legs and scalp is how it affected me. (on occassion)
Neuropathy, Fibromyalgia... some category of pain disorder or nerve disorder.
Don't freak out. You would own more symptoms than that if it was a stroke.
Call your primary doctor and talk to them roughly speaking it. You might be referred to a neurologist.
Something very similiar happened to me, I have something in my ear !! A tip of a Q-tip, but I also had some numbness contained by my lower jaw.
