I HAVE A CANKER SORE TOO!they hurt dont they!?but anyways...my dad told me to gently put baking soda on it. he told me it wouldnt hurt to get me to do it, it did hurt for a while (and it tastes bad) but after you clean out ur mouth of it, it feel better. i'm not saying its gonna get rid of it, but i have mine for about 3 days and i just did it today and i can narrowly feel it anymore.

First I have had several canker sores until I did a search on the Internet and found that sodium lauryl sufate in most toothpastes could be a bring them. Once I switched to a different toothpaste they were pretty much non-existent and if I used a toothpaste with SLS contained by it for just one time, I would get a canker sore. SLS is one grounds of canker sores. There could be other reasons. If any of the things I've listed don't support, see your dentist or dr. and he/she can give you an antibiotic if needed.1. You can take 1/2 of peroxide and 1/2 marine and just rinse out your mouth with it and consequently spit it out. Don't use it Peroxide full strength as I was told by more than one dentist office that it's better to mix it near water.
2. Go buy something over the counter like Canker discs which can produce a canker sore go away in more or less 24 hours with only one tablet applied directly to the canker sore. The tablet get applied after you dry the area with a cotton swab or tissue and afterwards you hold the white part of the tablet against the canker sore for about 30 second to a minute (see instructions for exact time). The disc turns into a gel like substance and also helps relieve the strain by covering the sore. I've had good results near them and prefer these to any other canker sore treatment. The best time to apply one on is at bedtime that way by morning it will be all disolved and you don't want to prepare it off. You may have to a short time ago rinse out your mouth and swish water around before you devour as some of the pieces. There are about 8 in a box and it cost around $7 to $10.
3. Another piece you can do is if you don't like the peroxide and water rinse penchant, there is some mouthwashes that contain peroxide in them. One is Orajel antiseptic Mouth Sore Rinse and it's also favourable for killing bacteria within the mouth and other mouth irritations such as cheek bites, gum irritation, as well as canker sores and orthodontic work.
4. You could also use some Amosan made by Oral B.
5. Get some Zilactin gel which forms a barrier as it help to ease the pain near benzocaine but personally I don't like this as much as it stings and the Canker discs are more impressive.
If you would like to be able to avoid getting canker sores you may want to switch to another toothpaste minus SLS sodium lauryl sulfate. I've listed a few here that are SLS free. You do have to check the immobile ingredients of the toothpaste as it's not listed in the helpful ingredients of toothpaste. Makes it kind of harder but since SLS can cause canker sores you really enjoy to look at the box to see if it doesn't list the sodium lauryl sufate in the at leisure ingredients section.

Another made by Rembrant specifically have one for canker sore sufferers but not all Rembrant toothpastes are SLS free.
Another is Healty Mouth and it says it's SLS Free on the tube since you even buy it.

Oh you can also buy something similar to Orajel mouth aid that have Benzocaine in it. It won't make the canker sore walk away but it will help with the throbbing by numbing the area. Make sure you don't eat or drink to soon after using an oral rinse close to it says so on the bottle.
