Whats wrong beside my chin? please backing?
A while ago it started clicking when i opened my mouth or moved it side to side consequently wednesday i opened it and it locked then thursday evening it locked again and it hurt after ward for a while it has locked three more times today (friday) and is constantly clicking when i move it and also hurts a bit
recently it have started with a grinding/grating noise when i move my chin sideways as well as a popping sort of clicking noise but i can unstop it as wide as usual it used to just be n the moved out side but today i have noticed sore and grinding on the right side of my jaw too.
i was thinkng it culd be my experience teeth but it didnt start off as a tooth or mouth ache but since ultimate nite my right back tooth started aching and my adjectives jaw aches immediately but not all the time just from time to time. When i munch through chewy or soft foods it clicks and sumtims locks.
also when pressure is applied to tmj joint and i try to open it it locks. also hen i look down and try to overt it it locks.
anyone know what culd be wrong?
also where do i go to se whats wrong beside it its not an emergency so not hospital so doctors or dentist ?
any help wuld be realli appreciated

Answers: this happen to me, my dr and dentist call it TMJ, my jaw completely locked on me and i be unable to eat for days. after awhile the inflammation come down and i was fine, it has never locked on me again since than. the dentist can confer you more insight on it, and a mouth guard, TMJ is mostly from grinding your teeth at night. .
I'm not a dentist or doc, so I can't diagnose, but it sounds like TMJ (TemporoMandibular Joint) disorder. I notice this for the first time in eighth grade -- my jowl started popping when I opened it wide. Mine have never locked, but the TMJ website says that's a symptom. I'd recommend seeing a doctor or dentist. TMJ.
I use to grind my teeth like that at hours of darkness it just went away. You might hold jaw arthritis. Which a doctor can treat
