Well, the reason why they took the generic brand watson off in the first place was because they sued them over it being too simular to the patented Purdue brand (purdue is the maker of Oxycontin) I have heard from a couple people that there aren't any generic brands on the market anymore, although I'm not sure if its true. I am a caretaker to some people who are prescribed and they have been getting the Tiva brand still, and so those I think are still being sold, at least here in Oregon. The generics should be back once purdues patent runs out, then the other companies can start making there generics again. You can find out on Perdues website when that is. I also think it varies from state to state, pharmacy to pharmacy. I was prescribed Oxycontin for fused vertabreas and a car accident for a long time, and I know first hand how extremly expensive they are. If you arre in a situation were you TRULLY need them and can't afford the prescription, sometimes you can get the company Perdue to pay for your prescription. I would suggest going to there website.
