Endocet is a brand name for oxycodone with tylenol, same as percocet or roxicet . so the endocet have 10 mg of oxycodone and 650 mg of tylenol and the other is 15 mg of oxycodone only. The oxy has more oxy but the endocet may be more affective for conflict pain because of the addition of the tylenol.I've get a ps. Oxycontin is a timed release oxycodone which is never suitable nor prescribed for post surgical pain. It is highly addictive and for long residence narcotic use only. It was initially solely prescribed for end stage cancer patients because the withdrawal when you stop taking them is considered worse than departure. The theory is that they should be prescribed to people who will be unmoving in a short time and not hold to deal with deduction in the future. Unfortunately they are immediately prescribed for chronic pain. I took it for five years, the biggest mistake of my life. The culture who think it is a good diea usually crush, chew or snort it for the glorious. Problem being you only attain the high for the first few doses and then oodles people ruin their lives in survey of that high. For pain nouns, oxycontin is taken at doses of about 60mg 3 times a day. does that provide you some idea of what you'd be dealing with? 180 mgs a year of the same med you're asking about 10 or 15 mgs of. I know you weren't asking roughly speaking this or drug seeking but I saw that someone thought it would be a jolly good impression and want you to understand it is not. It ruins lives. And this from someone who wears fentanyl patch :)
It is different for different people and different for differnet dosages. Both of those are good meds. I find Endocet stronger for my patients and this is the top dosage near the Tylenol to make it last longer. But study for the side effects of constipation. It almost doesn't make it worth while for the pain control for most society.
Oxy is really strong. But I find some people resistant to it. It is really addictive and the side effects stronger. It has the power of lasting a longer time than the Endocent which needs the Tylenol to do that .
