Why does my arm hurt so bleak after giving blood?

today i gave blood and when they put the needle in it be stinging really bad and i told the lady the needle is hurting my arm so she come and turned it a little but i still felt pain and when they told me to squeeze the orb for my blood to come out faster i wasnt able to squeeze it because my arm hurt so bad. it was drastically painful process and the first time it has happend. now when i try to move my arm it hurts really doomed to failure like someone sliced my arm. i dont have any brusing, its just for a time red. should i go to the doctor immediately or should i not be concerned? is this normal?

Right now, your arm looks somewhat red. Do not be surprised if later on you begin to see a purplish patch. It is nothing to be overly concerned nearly.

Veins can be very tiny, so needles have be very tiny, also. Sometimes, when a syringe goes into a vein, it can poke out the other side, leaking blood into your body cavity. Not much. Just satisfactory to cause discomfort.

Your body is magnificently designed to take attention to detail of itself as long as you do your part, also. It heals itself.

Sometimes whoever takes blood sometimes hits a audacity with the needle and those type of needles are bigger than normal ones. Put an icepack on the nouns and rub some alcohol on it and keep moving it perhaps with some wispy weights to insure that it doesn't get stiff on you too. It should get better with time, subsequent time you give blood let them know of this occurence so it can be handled a litle more elegantly next time.

it's normal. It might be sore for up to a week. right now only just put some ice on it. and you will probably bruise in a little bit. but thank you for helping to put aside a stranger's life. (was your shirt a cool design, cause our's sucked.)
