Why should u munch through things that are cold after a tonsillectomy instead of hot?

everyone is telling me that i should eat rime cream instead of hot things, ive been drinking tea and soup (hot) is that wrong and why?

Answer:    Should be warm-cold soft foods. Hot foods will afeect the vessels in the area that was cauterized and might inflict bleeding. Thus hindering the healing process.
You in actuality shouldn't eat either. Food should be room warmth with the exception of a few popsicles here and there. Hot foods will sympathetic up the wounds. Its not wrong it just can irritate the area
