Will anti-depressants abet me?
For the last 3 years I've been finding myself crying over really stupid situations which aren't even worth crying over. I just quality so worthless and insecure. I've gone from being really bubbly, making people laugh adjectives the time and being really confident to a really quiet and grumpy person.
I simply feel hopeless, dumber than everyone else, boring and as if I have no purpose in this world.. i'm only just there crying my eyes out over silly things i.e. my boyfriend discussing with his friends about how fit a hit and miss girl is in the street, ( I told him how I felt about this and he apologised and said he didn't be set to for it to upset me and he loves me and i'm the only one he has eyes for) but it just still upsets me. It's lots of other petty things as economically i.e. my parents arguing and if I get a D in college etc.
It's been approaching this since I turned 15, and now i'm almost 18.. Do you reckon it's to do with hormones or is there some other reason for me being so emotional all the time?
I'm not considering going to a doctor and asking him whether anti-depressants could support my situation but after doing some research on it, it doesn't seem to promising and effective. Has anyone experienced what i'm going through or has any experience of antidepressants?
Answers: First travel see your doctor and ask for a referral for a psych evaluation. Prescribing drugs without knowing the cause can actually variety things worse. Find out what you really have going on . if anything. Periods of elation and super confidence cycling with depression and low self esteem could in recent times as easily be Bipolar disorder. The treatment is different than what is done for simple depression. Antidepressants can actually make it worse by making the depression turn into hypomania.

I can relate. I started feeling that way a little over a year ago but I be also having panic attacks. My doctor gave me zoloft for the frenzy attacks (I never told her about my issue of crying for no good reason) and I started feeling much better. I go off of them because my insurance wasn't good and my copay was too dignified, now I'm back to feeling blah. I am seriously thinking of going subsidise on them especially know that my insurance has changed. So you should talk to your doctor about it, it may abet you a lot. Be careful though if you recognize the slightest sign of severe depression stop taking them.
