absolutely not. If you are having chest pain and you hold reason to believe it may be gallstones, you need to see a doctor and insist on lab tests to rule out any elevated liver enzymes, and insist, INSIST, on an ultrasound. I deal with this, my doctor wanted to tell me I have gastritis, I insisted and got the lab tests and ultrasound. My gall bladder be inflamed, and a week later when it was taken out it was infected. I journey, why do you have reason to believe it is gallstones, does the pain sympathetic of "live" in your right upper quadrant or midsternal? Does it radiate through to your back. Do you have nausea and vomitting near it? One sign is intolerance to ANY fatty foods or extremely acidy foods. My doc said to stay away from even salad because of the acid in the lettus.
