X-ray question...(first time?)

Im getting an X-ray for the first time today on my foot. How do they do it? And will it hurt? Will I get the results while Im there or will I hold to wait a couple of days? What happens if they find something? What happen if they dont?

Answer:    Don't worry! I've been for loads of x-rays,and it's zilch to worry about!
They will give an account you to lie down on a table-thingy(don't worry,it's pad!) and put a protector on your lower abdomenen,in case of any stray rays. They will put a slide(the film) lower than your foot,it's just like a hardback notebook, and you must hang on to utterly still while the x-ray is being taken. The x-ray machine itself is big,and at hand is a lever sticking out of it with a glass blind on it,and this is what will be placed over your foot. It's not going to be touching your foot,it'll be a bit above it. The radiologist will then leave the room and purloin the x-ray. As I said you must keep realli still while the x-ray is being taken,as if you move, they won't know how to see the picture clearly or whatever.
It doesn't hurt at all! Unless they falsify your ankle into an awkward position, then THAT'S painful!!
You might capture the results while you're there,or you might not. Whenever I get an x-ray I other get the results while I'm still there, but I'm not too sure. If they find something, they will contact you and explain to you what it is over the phone,or ask you to come into see the doctor again. The doctor will then decide on what treatment would be best suited for your injury,eg.if you broke a bone,a classify,or surgery,Know what I mean?
And if they don't find something, well, consequently that's that. They will prob ring you and tell you the story anyway.
Best of luck with the x-ray!!
Remember,there's nought to worry about!
=D.
The x-ray itself is painless, but depending on your injury, holding the foot contained by place while they take the x-ray may be uncomfortable.

The x-ray is developed within a few minutes. If you're at an orthopedist or doctor where they take the x-ray contained by the office (or hospital), you can have it read and draw from results right away. If your at a diagnostic center that has to send the results to your doctor, it can steal a day or two..
Ive gotton an x-ray before it dosnt hurt
How i get it done is we went in a grey room with a little bedside light
And they take the x-ray pictures and i got the results contained by a couple mins
And if its not broken they dont do anything theyll just send you out
And if its not fruitless theyll give you a brace and cruches
If it is bad theyll pass you a cast and cruches
And the x-ray is the best thing so theres no test
They even just might pull the bone and put it within place.
Well i recently broke my pinky finger and it took about 3 mins of pictures within the x-ray room that were completley painless and after that it took about 10 mins to process and find the injury , it could pilfer longer depending on what you have had. No it doesnt hurt... most places own the xray the day you get it done.. I dont know how they do a foot but its across the world quick and painless. I know that.. dont wear any jewelry though cuz you will just hold to take it off..
