I just have a total knee replacement on Jan.9th. the procedure took an hour and a partly and I was out of bed that dark to use the restroom. I came home after 2 days contained by the hospital and had within home Pt for the last 2 weeks and on monday start going to a PT center for the rest of my rehab. I used a trekker and a potty chair for the first week and immediately use a cane, The hardest item for me to do was our steps because they are really narrow.You will start to grain better when the staples come out of your knee. As for what is done, they put a metal cohesive in where on earth the bone used to be. I am glad that I did it. I do not have the distress that I had beforehand getting the new knees. Good Luck

they give somebody a lift out the old knees and put in a untried one, usually prosthetic
