It depends on how bad the fracture is - if it is a verbs break, you are looking between 6-8 weeks to heal. A fracture is worse than a break.If you hold on to using the wrist that is fractured it will never alleviate right. Also you could end up near carpal tunnel. It all depends what you are doing and sometimes it could lift up to a year to heal and even after it's not guaranteed it will heal right.I

Hi this adjectives dpend on a few things,your age,the type off fracture you substained,how you done this injury.Colles fractures generally take between 6-10wks to treat but sometimes after the fracture has heal you may stil get some swelling and discomfort for a further few mths.Just do what he Consultant have told you and the fracture will heal contained by time.Good Luck
