I have have a pain within my sternum which sometimes moves to a rib right under my right breast. I'm scared out of your wits to go to the doctor and go and get a chest xray. It only hurts when I move. It never hurts when I'm purely sitting in one position-only when I bend backwards or to the side. I have be doing a lot of lifting--heaving furniture, books, etc by myself. I lift a 200 lb unassembled dresser in my vehicle by myself. Has anyone ever had this stomach-ache before?

Sounds to me that you have a pulled or strained muscle. When I cracked my ribs it hurt adjectives the time, even breathing hurt.
