I have be through it all....surgery and injections and narcotic discomfort meds of every strength nothing have helped. I enjoy L4 and L5 totally screwed up. I have found a doctor beside permanent fix. Disc replacement . He said adjectives of his patients have not own pain since they have this surgery and are doing yoga jogging, pretty much doing what ever they want. Now it would keep hold of from work/school for about 2-3 months. If your doctor recommend fusion kick him within the face. But to your steroids......Steroids are doomed to failure for you body, it reduces your body's capacity to heal and argument infection and they only second for like 3-6 months.By the route I am 26 too! and I feel resembling an old man...sucks huh?
