have someone support you. have a loyal trustworthy friend sleepover for a month or something or ethnic group member to keep under surveillance you and throw away all your cigarettes and preserve you away from buying them. also try nicotine patches and that gum call Nicorette. plus ask your doctor for helpful medication and use them properly. find a relaxing hobby to do instead of smoking. try sports. and take open breaths everyday. eat healthy. and hang on to yourself from wanting and needing cigarettes. im only guessing you use cigarettes to relax so just keep hold of your self from getting stressed. hang out next to your girls and try yoga. this will help for sure.

i used to smoke more or less 2 packs a daytime, and i tried quitting 7 times until i finally i was competent to.first i told all my friends roughly my decision and told them to not consent to me have a single one (even if i be having a few drinks) and to forcefully remove it if they saw me next to one. second, the average craving lasts solely 5 minutes, so once one hit i would immediately try and do something to cart my mind off of it. nickname a friend, play a computer game, start cooking, etc etc. carrot sticks and lollipops also help with the hand-to-mouth craving. for me the first week be a breeze, didn't bother me at all, the second and third weeks be the worst, but once i hit that one month bracket, i didn't even remember that i smoked and haven't been subsidise since.

I found out that you will only quit smoking when you really want to quit! Saying you do does not sort it so. If you really want to, you will quit! I used an aid from the doctor called Wellbuterin. Then I also chock-a-block a small jar, similar to a babyfood jar, with the contents of my ashtray-butts and ashes! Then occupied the jar with some wet, not even half approach up. I shook the jar and smelled the contents when I had the urge to smoke. When I quit gag, the urge was gone! I know this sounds awful but so is smoking. I have smoked for 31 years. I have in a minute been smoke free for 10 years and still abominate the smell! I'm busy reading a book - Allen Carr's Easy Way To Stop Smoking. It's helping! I recommend you read the book. The lone way to stop smoking is to budge cold turkey. Don't use the patches and gums - they solely help to hang on to feeding the monster. Join gym. Join a hiking club. Whatever. Just direct that dash into something that's good for you.
Drink lots of marine (or tea - that helps!) - every time you obtain a craving. The craving only last about 5 minutes, so cut it til it goes away. Keep reminding yourself that nicotine is poisonous. If they told you that your liking food had traces of cyanide within it - you'd stop eating it. Same principal.

i am still a smoker and you are so right they stink i had quit for eight years until in the future i was driving truck and get so bored i reached over and took the cigarette from my PA and it tasted so well-mannered i was backbone on them yes on them like a Drug i of adjectives people enjoy to give them up i own had three strokes and own three stints i got my dr to present me wellbutern to help me quit closing time it really worked if you could see me now since the strokes and if you know me before you would put them down in a minute please do so i was a strong man and zilch was to big for me to do i worked on cb radios and very soon i am scared to try my hand shake and go where on earth they want you are so young look in a hospital and talk to some Dr's ask them if you can pop in some of the stroke patients they will like the company and you will go and get a crash course about quitting if you can see how much they enjoy lost it will shock you i made a promise to my wife and myself i am going to quit on my 60iyh birthday next month please of late do it quit good luck

Sure hope this information help someone quit who is very defining to me!!!Quitting smoking is not a science, you just call for to find a replacement activity that supplies your body beside serotonine and other "feelgood" hormones. For instance I gave up smoking and started jog, as all of a sudden I realised that i cant run 1000 meters within one go. This to me, as a immature man, was a huge disgrace, so I simply started jog couple of times a week, and never felt the obligation to smoke again. The character and the will power are sure factor though, and once you set your mind on something, you can really do it.
Other things like hypnosis, nicotine patch etc might help, but personaly I hold never used them.
Once you seriously decide to quit smoking, and start doing sports/yoga/etc you will never get the impression a need to muted up a cigarette again, it just comes smoothly.

I smoked for almost 14 years, from 15-29. I tried to quit several times using the nicotine gum and the patches - no luck. I finally quit cold turkey. I may own been lucky but how I quit be I got a really sore throat - it be sore for about 4 days - conversation was even difficult so within was no path I could even think around cigarettes. That is the physiological reason that finally tolerate me quit. The mental reason be when my fiance woke me up in the middle of the hours of darkness to tell me that he loved me and needed me to be around for a very long time. He told me that he be very worried more or less me smoking and wanted me to quit. I feel so bad for him and that moment realize how selfish my way was. Luckily - I get the sore throat about a month after that and I have not smoked for over 13 months. I did gain going on for 15 pounds but it is a small price to pay considering what I be doing to the inside of my body. I do not miss smoking at all very soon. You can do it - just remember that nearby are people out within that love you and would love to see you quit. It is also helpful to tutor yourself about the danger of smoking by researching the detriment you can inflict upon yourself by smoking. You can quit - believe in yourself - you are stronger than nicotine. If you feel close to you want a cigarette - drink a glass of OJ or chomp through an orange. You can lug vitamin C supplements but since the body doesn't retain Vitamin C and you must replenish it daily, getting it by drinking or consumption it also gives you something to do until the craving lessen.
I don;t have a problem beside ingesting a qt. to a gallon a day. Play it by ear... tolerate me know how it goes... plus you hold to just speak NO also...

I a short time ago stopt on januari 1st...it's hard but if you realy want to a short time ago do it, it's more of a habbit than an adiction. I also use licorice root or sweetwood. take pieces as long as a cigarette, that something for your hand to do and there is something in it that help with quiting...I realy hope you stop smoking...YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!hello

I smoked for 20 years and realized I needed to quit for strength reasons as most do. I smoked over a pack a light of day! I tried everything for years and nothing worked until I found Accupuncture. It's a simple procedure where on earth they stick a few needles at certain points in respectively ear. I don't like needles at adjectives but I had to do it and it wasn't that fruitless. It was close to a pinch. As you sit and listen to medatative music and drink herbel tea for 1/2 hr you become relaxed and the craving for cigarettes do deminish, at least they did for me surrounded by a short time. I go for 30 sessions and have in a minute been smoke free for 3 years. I know in need a shadow of a doubt that I will never return to smoking because of Accupucture only for me. Some family don't need as tons sessions as I did. I was ok near the not smoking after only a couple of sessions but I looked-for to make sure I never smoked again, so I kept going for 3 months. Here in the US you may not be so lucky in obtain sessions for free as I received them in Canada person Canadian, who knows, I don't. There may be programs out nearby that help race stop smoking as they have surrounded by Canada. It is one of many programs to try and within must be something the US government implements to serve people quit as it is contained by the Country's best interest for overall health to live longer as proven medically. IAccupucture does work but not for everyone and is worth a shot because nought worked for me. I wish you much luck. If you want it desperate enough, you will and can do it! Im prime example of that because as discouraged as it sounds I did enjoy smoking at one time but not very soon! It is not easy but you can do this! Good luck!
