His Index finger is GONE!?

I hold had abundantly of blood tests for a variety of reasons and I faint the first time I got my blood tested within a lab. So this is what my mom and I decided to do for me when getting my blood taken.

1. Ask to enjoy your blood taken while you are laying down. This path if you feel you are almost to faint you wont be surrounded by a chair and you will be lying down, this mode it reduces your likelihood of fainting. And you dont hold the risk of falling off your bench or whatever if you miss out. Usually in labs they hold a bed similiar to the ones in the doctors department that you can lay on. Ask if you can lay on one of those and get your blood drawn near.

2. When taking blood the nurses usually use a thick hypodermic and it is attatched right to the vile. These tend to hurt worse because of the needle size and you grain every movement of the vile when she changes them. This make the pain worse. My mom asked the nurses if at hand was something different they could use that would kind the pain smaller number for me. They suggested the " butterfly" I believe is what they call it. They use a cracked needle to be exact attatched to a tube that is give or take a few half a foot long or shorter. That tube later connects to the vile. This way the spare needle doesnt hurt as much and when they renovation the vile you dont feel it because the tube is here, so the needle stays still. I found this help me a ton! It felt so much better. But the with the sole purpose downside is that it takes a bit longer to run your blood using the butterfly ( only roughly 15-20 seconds longer) because the blood is taken next to a smaller needle and it have to travel through a tube to the vile. So it just make it a tad longer when they draw the blood. But I think it is better to be paid it a bit longer without discomfort rather than own a lot of misery in a shorter length of time. Either way...

3. Make sure you own a full tummy ( not like super full but you arent hungry though) This road your body has nutrients and lowers likelihood of fanting. Also make sure you are plenty hydrated. Drink greatly of water the daytime of. This will lower your chances of faint. Also make sure you drink plenty of hose afterwards to ensure your body has adequate hydration to make fresh blood cells properly and smoothly.

4. If you have a really low tolerence near pain I might suggest a numbing cream. I used it the first few times but afterwards once I forgot about it and I be fine anyways so I didnt need it anymore. The numbing cream is usually put on the nouns your blood will be drawn from about 30minutes to an hour formerly your blood is taken.

5. Okay while your blood is being taken it help to hold someones hand, approaching your mom, dad, brother, sister ect. Also try to think of elated things like your pets, friends or something you are looking forward to. Also brand sure you breathe dont hold your breath this will only craft things worse and make your likelihood higher of faint.

6. After your blood is taken press on the area it be drawn from for a few minutes. This will help stop the blood flow and backing your body heal it easier. Dont put your arm surrounded by the position where your foot is at your shoulder, like when you rest your person in charge on hands at a desk. Dont do that position next to your arm even if the nurse tells you to do so or suggests it. This will probably breed things worse and create a bruise. My mom said she use to do that because a nurse told her to do so after she gets her blood taken and the subsequent day my mom have a large bruise within that area. It took a long time for it to make well. So my mom decided not to do that anymore and lately press on it and it never happened again. But it could freshly be my mom and it may not bruise for everyone...so either opening...

7. This is my last tip for you: Pray you gain a good nurse to bring your blood. Many different nurses do blood work and each do it differently. Some are more reckless and treat you like an animal ( i dont aim to scare you but it is true) and some are docile and try to avoid giving you any pain. And some are within between. Just pray that you get a worthy nurse that will be best for you.

Well that is deeply all I know that will give support to you out when getting your blood taken. I'm sure you will do just fine. It is style better than getting a shot! I can tell you that right in a minute! anyways good luck and comfortable holidays.
