I am massively sore, how do i get rid of the dull pain?
i find it scary that your surgeon cannot be reach!! you just have surgery today and may have more serious complications-there have to be some way of reaching him/her. if they do own an answering service-call them as many times as it take to reach your dr.
nausea is adjectives after surgery b/c alot of people do not fiddle with the anesthesia well-it's hard on our bodies. it can also be cause by the narcotics (pain killers) you are commonly given after surgery. if you are taking these, make sure to thieve them with food.
i'm saddened that your dr didnt provide you a prescription for anti-nausea medication.
for now, try drinking clear liquid in small, frequent amounts. nick 1-2 tablespoons of liquid every 10 mins. you can increase this slowly if you are competent to keep it down.
try things like
-sprite,7-up, or ginger ale
-water
-gatorade
-suck on popsicles
try to avoid solids foods until the nausea lessen but you can try these-they will absorb extra stomach sharp and can reduce the nausea.
-saltine crackers
-plain toast
-rice
if you start to vomit or the nausea doesn't seem to be to be letting up over the next few hours-take a trip into the emergency room. man that it's not been over 24 hours since you've have surgery, there could be something serious going on and you'll necessitate to have it checked out. In adding together, dehydration could make your recouping time longer than it needs to be and puts you at risk for getting exceedingly sick
As a distance runner, how can I?
Well, I don't know what kind of surgery, but the nausea 1) may be anesthesia related 2)are you taking strain meds, often they can mete out nausea 3) what kind of surgeon is it that cannot be reach (or a cover?) This is illegal where you are. If this is a genuine cross-examine I am appalled. I have worked for a group of surgeons since getting an RN 5 years ago, and if our practice did that, the would risk losing their license. If it becomes unacceptable, go to an Urgent Care or ER. And report the surgeon within the morning. What did doctor mean by "overt it"?
ask for some gravol. If you are at home it is available in any drugstore (dymenhydranate)(sp) as a rule it is added to the demerol or morphine. Morphine is 100x better for pain than demerol. If you hold surgery again, talk to your Dr something like it.what causes twinges in final of lower left leg? feminine?
This happens to me respectively time that I have surgery. It is your body getting rid of adjectives the drugs in your system. I know that it is miserable. Try munching on some saltine crackers. Slowly agree to them dissolve part approach in your mouth up to that time swallowing. Stay laying down. Place rime chips in your mouth for hose down. You need extra fluids. Tomorrow should be better. Get some sleepive be a self-harmer for a few years. scars are pretty doomed to failure. can anyone tell me...?
