I agree alot with what Angie say.I am not sure that I agree with this impression that nicotine is "added" to cigarettes,I think most of the nicotine of a cigarette is in the tobacco and possibly the better tobacco is farmed,the greater the nicotine content.
Cigarette smoking IS an addiction just as drinking is next to the one exception that getting caught driving after too many cigarettes is not informal.

I quit drinking 10+yrs ago and am now 27days short cigarettes. . . .this time. Since Aug I have gotten 45 days short cigarettes and then 30 days lacking cigarettes and now my 27 days and I hope it is the ultimate time I have to quit.
I tried several times to quit drinking as economically but once I found the solution that worked for me I stuck to it. . . that being AA and I am using the AA 12 step method for stopping my cigarette addiction.
Both alcohol and cigarettes be hard to mould to and to learn when I first started using them but once I "mastered" them they become an important "friend" surrounded by my life.
Regardless of what be going on in my life be it obedient or bad,cigarettes/alcohol be there to "help" me receive through the situation. . .somewhat like a shelter blanket.
