I was hit by a vehicle 18 months ago and broke my pelvis and right leg. I also dislocated my left leg from my pelvis. I have surgery and had a pelvic fixator within for 2 months. My surgeon left a screw holding the center of the pelvis in place and said I could filch it out after a year if I wanted. Are near any benefits of removing it and the rod in my tibia? I'm 15 and female, so I'm concerned roughly speaking what happens if I verbs to grow, but I don't want to undergo another unnecessary surgery or two. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

Gosh thats calamitous. There are cases were you would give up your job them in. In you satchel I would say after you grow you would enjoy to ahve them removed.I ahd a friend that didnt have his removed from his hip and after awhile it shifted and come through his leg then he have to have it removed. he be in impossible to tell apart thought. when it happened consequently we was contained by worse shape then formerly. It took him along time to heel. My advuse would to talk to your Dr. and do waht they right to be heard. or get a second belief. This is just mine. Good Luck
