you shoud first try to figure out if it's tart. i was misdiagnosed as have avid reflux. i had intense chest pain-like heart attack and it usually come on after i ate something fatty or greasy. i never had bitter problems before.turns out, i have pancreatitis caused by nerve stones. if it's acid, nexium or prevacid usually help that according to people i know on them. but if you're conversation about intense chest strain, problem may be gall stones.
