How can I tell the difference between frost bite and frost nip? What should I do roughly speaking it?
Today it was 6 degree F (plus a windchill). When I was driving home (wearing gloves!), I notice that my left index finger tip (knuckle to fingernail) be numb. When I went inside to pick up my son from daycare, I notice that that half of my finger be totally white. It didn't feel any colder than my other fingers and didn't hurt or burn resembling they usually would under these circumstances. I wrapped my paw around it and it changed back to pink inwardly a couple of minutes. Three hours later, it is immediately starting to throb slightly. Other than take Advil, is near something that I should do?
Answers: How do i get rid of Chest and Neck pains?
Frost bite is limp skin. It turns black and falls off. You probaly come close. It will throb becasue the nerves are kind of upset, but i.e. good. Pink technique there is blood flow. As they utter, pain method you ain't dead however! The best treatment is always GENTLE rewarming, no rubbing and prevent refreezing. Other than some OTC anguish meds, there really insn't much you can do.
If you be wearing gloves and gripping the wheel tight, you may enjoy decreased blood flow to you fingers and thereby warmness. Add in the cold and thats probably what happen. Frost bite only take a short period of time, even quicker when compromised by decrease blood flow (which is why extremities are so susecptible in the first place)
