Does a bulging disc cause excrutiating agony and immobility?

Microdiscectomy "Back Surgery"?
A bulging disk can be very unbearable indeed. I have two slightly bulging disks in my lumbar spine and as a result own sciatica (that pain which draws down one or the other leg, usually the rear, through the knee(s) and on to your toes) from time to time.
The problem with this dull pain is that nothing, but nil, eases it and solely rest and swelling reduction (what the steriods are for) help.
I manage my affliction with the comfort of caution when I move, some strain relief to help yourself to the edge past its sell-by date (avoid Ibuprofen over time- these will eventually make your stomach ulcerate) of which I wish a non-addictive artificial opiate (on prescription) but mainly a TENS mechanism. Because a TENS machine interupts brashness signals from those areas which channel from the legs up over the buttocks and into the spine at precisely the point where on earth my damage is it is great- I place the pad near the bulges and that sort of does a double whammy- stops the throbbing signals from the leg getting to the brain I can cope quite okay.
So- in answer- YES. It is the classic apology for the pain you experienced. And yes, it comes and go. Remember that this condition is not curable per se. Physio is something to preserve doing, pain administration something to keep abreast of and KNEES MUST BE BENT when bending! DON'T EVER bend from the waist.
I perceive for you. Good luck with recovering! Oh- and try steam on the area OR cold. YOU establish which gives you nouns and whichever it is, is the right one. ;-)

I had a bulging disc in my neck that cause severe pain surrounded by my arms and shoulders. It made my arms numb. I was wash my hair and the misery hit. I ended up have to have spinal fusion in the 5-6 nouns and it helped alot. I have no choice, the pain didn't shift away until I had the surgery. It be very prickly and nothing I did took the strain away. Nerve pain is the worse! That be 2 years ago and now I enjoy another one, but it is not as bad. I know that this be in my upper spine, but I am sure like goes for the lower one. Make sure you see an orthopedic surgeon as they are the ones to accord with this. Good luck and pinch care of yourself! How do you pop you ears besides plugging your antenna and blowing?
Absolutely, Yes! Get back to your doctor for further treatment option.Normally...no...however if you've had this problem surrounded by the past, within is no reason why you could not own progressed to a larger disc bulge or even a herniation. In fact, bending over to put on your socks is the best opening to do this. Forward flexing movements of the spine push the nucleus pulposus toward the back, outer rim of the vertebral disc. This is the weakest piece of the disc and is most prone to herniation. Your symptoms are very consistent near this. I would suggest you get into physical psychiatric help with an MDT trained (a.k.a. "McKenzie" trained therapist)...even if you are doing better, the therapist can check your progress and show you what to do to avoid the problem and what to do if it should ever return again.
