you will need to see a doctor to get hold of the wax removed. Without it removed your normal secretion in your ear will build up and mete out infections.

The doctor can then check your tympanic membrane for any burn or scarring

Was it one of those cone candles? Those are the best open-handed to use to get everything out of your ear. I own never had one burn my ear. I would see a Dr. if it hurts that discouraging, they can give you a perscription burn cream to back. Never use a regular candle.
