I went to the emergency room because I have a mild heart attack. They kept me 5 days and 4 nights. My bill be over $17,000.00-just for the hospital, my doctor bill was $400.00-and the lab work and MRI be about $500.00. I don't enjoy insurance. They expect me to pay this. If I be here illegally I wouldn't enjoy to worry nearly this as our government pays for them. I am refuse to pay because I touch like I am individual punished for being a citizen. I am sorry roughly speaking the rant, I do hope this answers some of your questions.
Some citizens will qualify for medicaid. That's the free stuff. All the medical you need. But you enjoy to be really bad sour. Others, like myself, spawn too much money to qualify for any help of any sympathetic, but not enough to in actuality pay for this stuff. It really sucks. I necessitate some work done now and cannot afford it so I don't shift. They (the doctors) want you paying as you go. I can't do that. I hold always thought we have need of to reform our medical stuff. Like other country's close to yours do. This just is out of use. My husband and I both have to filch medicines every month, that really strap us trying to gain them. There are alot of elderly people who own the same problem. But when we adjectives tried to get our meds from Canada, they outlawed it. But, we can distribute jobs to other country's and keep hold of people approaching me from work because there is none. Now that make sense, doesn't it? HA! So yeah, there are lots of society who don't get treated because they can't afford it. It's really pitiful.
There are free clincs that provide some services. Most states care for women, infants and children. If your a man however you better get hold of your butt to work or you just might die. Talk more or less equal rights :) Healthcare is exspensive, very exspenssive. I own GOOD INSURANCE and it is about 17.4 % of my bring home pay. This is for family coverage. You hold to be "poor enough" to get cheap healthcare. Say 20K /yr ethnic group income might not be poor enough, you might own to bring home less afterwards that or have closely of dependents. but there are reduced cost option for some.
Most Americans must have some type of insurance or they may be incompetent to obtain condition care. Medicaid (government subsidized) is solitary for children or pregnant women in markedly poor families or those who are so disabled they are inept to work and do not qualify Medicare(government insurance for those 65 and older.They must pay cheque for this out of their social security)
This leaves a lot of folks needing form care that they are not getting. I myself sometimes must postpone or forgo altogether doctor recommended test and procedures and even medications because of not have the funds available to pay for them.
