Okay, permit me just clarity . . . hospitals do not hire unlicensed, uninsured nurses . . . they DO hire unlicensed assisted personnel which are on the plane of nurses aids (CNAs). There is a huge difference between an RN, LVN, CNA, and nurses assistant.
The hospital carries insurance for their nurses, and lots nurses carry their own malpractice insurance a short time ago in crust they made a "boo-boo" and the hospital decides to bail out on them.
As far as the unlicensed personnel, yes, the hospital is liable if you can prove that near was a on purpose intent to do harm.
