Are you an full-size? My mother had hers removed contained by her twenties and she said it was miserable. I've hear the older you are, the worse the recouping. At the age of 30, I refused to tolerate the dr. remove mine. I had a 30 year attachment to them, and I close to them right where they are. Good luck.By the course, I love all the smart *** answers :)

This may be a silly Q, but you are getting them removed from a dr., right? I one and only ask b/c of the way you phrased that. Nowadays, you never know!Anyway, to answer your Q- honestly yes, it does hurt, but you will restore to health (I hardly remember immediately what it was like) and hey- look at the bright side- you enjoy an excuse to eat lots of rime cream! LOL It will not affect you aftwerwards. I had mine taken out a few years ago, b/c I frequently get tonsillitis. Since then, I haven't have a sore throat yet! I am so glad I get mine out!
