Checking blood pressure on the right arm?
Was wondering if anyone knows why most doctors office's check the blood pressure on the right arm instead of the vanished? Talked to a nurse and she told me thats was standard.

My horse (Rain) will not pick up his foot. What do i do?
If you spoke to someone at your own doctor's office, she be probably a medical assistant and not a nurse. There is no "standard" and if there be, it would be the left arm and not the right.
It is for consistancy. There is in actuality difference in the reading between the two arms. My right arm always read higher than my moved out by atleast 10 points. The doctor needs to know that any difference is base on physiology rather than disappeared and right arm.
I broke my leg, and am having a tough time getting comfortable at night.?
My doctor alway checks my blood pressure on my not here armI have HBP and I own a wrisp cuff to keep track of my bp. The instructions right to be heard to use it on my left wrist cuz thats closest to my heart and take a more accurate reading.
And my dr. office take it on my left arm usually.
