I tore my achilles playing basketball & had surgery at the closing of April '06. I began physical psychoanalysis 3 months after the surgery. I am still recovering, but played a little football within November, so I am doing fairly resourcefully. The type of treatment depends on what you want to do. Surgery is painful for in the region of 2 weeks, but there is smaller quantity of a chance that you will re-injure yourself. If you want to be helpful surgery is the way to jump because it provides more reinforcement, that is if you have a tear. I am glad I did it, but I have a cast put on after the surgery... in that are other options where on earth you do not have a sort put on, but need to be really really tight-fisted not to retear it. It's a tough call.. suitable luck

are you getting surgery? not alot of info to give any abet.... i pulled mine and all icould move about was strech it out slowly and hope for the best....
