Peroxide other bubbles up when applied to a cut even if it has stitches..It boils out wounds,it kill germs and boils the germs out.If you have stitches, they other have little gap and it will boil,thats why it is used to kill germs.It will not hurt the stitches,but a bit keep it free from germs....Thats a polite thing
